Bender Bending Rodriguez

Is there a cooler animated character than Bender from Futurama? I think not!

Creating the model was a lot of fun. (all subdivision surface modeling) I also gave him a very basic rigging which was a great learning experience. This project also gave me a chance to learn a bit about creating a smoke simulation (for the cigar smoke) which I hadn't done before.

I wanted to create a stylized fan art image, but not deviate from Bender's general appearance. So, I stayed true to his dimensions during modeling and his shaders during rendering, but then went gritty/grungy with the final image in Post Production.

Modeled and rigged in Blender 2.79. Rendered in Cycles. Post processing in Photoshop.
